To Dream or Not to Dream
We have heard and read time and again about the importance of
creating goals, living an abundant life, living our passion,
following our dreams, and so on.
I have dedicated numerous broadcasts to these themes.
Yet many don’t listen, for whatever reason.
That’s okay.
One of my patients asked me, “Why can’t I just be? Why
can’t I just live my life, be a good parent and a loving
spouse, report to work, and pay my bills? Why do I have to
‘find myself’? Why do I have to have a goal?”
My reply was simple, “You can just be.” Then I asked,
“Are you content?”
I don’t know about you, but like many of my clients and
patients, I want more out of life.
I don’t necessarily mean more money or more things. Having
my website, writing articles and e-books, authoring a real
book, coaching, and speaking presentations have enriched my
life. I have met many interesting people along the way and
created some new friendships. Although I enjoy my day job (most
of the time), I know there has to be more to life than the
daily grind.
So, if you have no aspirations and you are comfortable with
that fact, then you are entitled to live your life that way.
My hope for you is that you have no regrets when your time is
up. I hope you want to live life to its fullest.
If you don’t have a dream, that’s okay.
If you are lucky and have a dream and a great desire to follow
your passion, begin now.
Have a great week!
